The Velvet Underground and Nico will slowly descend until it is outside the top 50. Thriller will get into the top 20, possibly even the top 10. The Beatles will probably remain at their places. Some new pop albums might make it into the top 1000. Most of the music I like will be even lower than it already is.
Ah, it seems that she has a condition similar to my mothers, what I refer to as Apathetic Musical Taste Syndrome, or AMTS.
My sister does not suffer from AMTS, she just listens to shitty music, but people who DO suffer from AMTS typically don't see the "big deal" about music in the first place, and will typically listen just to whatever happens to be big on the radio. They like nice, pretty sounds, but overall think music is just a "waste of time" and don't like to consider music on any deeper level, nor do they seek to find any meaning in it or context.
It's very sad when someone suffers from AMTS, I've lost a few friends to the condition.
I spent my college years trying to cure my friends of AMTS. It was a whole lot of effort, with very little results. I guess now I've decided that not everyone is into music like I am, and people generally resist when pushed. I get the same reaction when I try to convert people onto soccer (EPL) or Basketball (NBA). _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.
