Pink Moon by Nick Drake is my no. 1 listened to album. I was kind of surprised by this but then again in a way it makes sense. It is a very somber, melancholy album that is beautifully played and deals with big themes (life and death), so i find myself putting it on when i want to put things in perspective. I love drake's voice its so somber and makes him sound very troubled, yet there is an underlying warmth to it that is also hopeful. You can hear a deep underlying sorrow in him, and somehow he is still able to see beauty in the world.

Well I just drove to Boston and back, and that's like seven hours for me each way. Plus we got stuck in traffic. I listened to:
Double Nickels on the Dime (Minutemen) twice(?)
Ascension (John Coltrane)
Pink Flag (Wire)
The Shape of Jazz to come (Ornette Coleman)
Viva la Vida (Coldplay)
Damaged (Black Flag)
Dub Housing (Pere Ubu) at least twice
the Chronic (Dr. Dre)
Inflammable material (Stiff Little fingers)
Funeral (Arcade Fire)
and part of:
Illmatic (Nas)
Definitely Maybe (Oasis)
Modern Life is Rubbish (Blur)
It Takes a Nation of Millions (Public Enemy)
Ten (Pearl Jam)
and some other stuff I don't really remember
