See, HERE WE GO AGAIN
And AGAIN and AGAIN with the SAME behavior.
I wasn't even going to comment on this.
But, per usual, someone brings me up.
Then I make a comment, breaking NO RULES with my comment/question.
Then people come along and take their jabs.
Then, per usual, when I point it out, they either deny doing it
Or say "I was just joking"

IMO, there is no need, nor point, in calling specific names of people out for breaking rules/suggestions on BEA. 99% of the people have. Including myself.
IMO it's real simple
Only have one chart, until Albummaster has a chance to finish his changes on BEA and possibly allowing members to have multiple charts.
When a person says leave me alone and stop talking about them. STOP. Don't keep attacking and ganging up on someone. That is not humor, nor fun.
Stay on the TOPIC of the thread. Fine if you drift off for a few posts but, as on the Miley Cyrus thread, this went on and on for numerous pages with totally unrelated conversation which could have and should have been taken to the forum in a separate thread.
Quit complaining about other peoples polls/threads and START YOUR OWN THREAD/POLL.
If you have a problem with another member, GO TO THAT MEMBER with a PM. instead of wasting albummaster's time because you tell him instead of the person you have the problem with. (but do not post other peoples PM's to you in the forums like I had done to me with a PM I had sent to another member)

IMO this is an important topic and it would be nice if members actually had something constructive to say to make things better instead of telling jokes and trying to be witty.

It still weirds me out that we have such young kids on these forums that are actually pretty intelligent. _________________ sig

Oh a good ole censorship debate...good fun. Well, as is my usual opinion on the issue, particularly on a forum like atmosphere, infringing on the ability of the members to express themselves in their chosen vernacular is essential for engaging discussions. The fact that people such as Captain Dude choose to "keep it PG" while people such as Jhereko are moderately more liberal with language only contributes to the idiosyncrasies of the individual users. Thus, it becomes apparent over time even without an indicator if this is a "insert user here" post.
That being said however, as is the case in the real world, it is ultimately up to the individual to moderate themselves and treat people with the deserved respect. By and large this notion is maintained amongst the members of this site. The reason I think that, for example, a ban on foul language is entirely unnecessary is the following: When people do step out of line, the community as a whole reacts negatively towards this.
Finally in response to the incident in question, the population of this forum often falls among the sardonic, witty types. Jhereko, I am sure, would identify himself as such. In this case, it seems that this single instance of swearing has been used as a vessel to open a personal tirade on an issue Captain Dude finds undesirable in all contexts. Suffice it to say that in my opinion, this incident should be inconsequential.
