In my opinion, some of the best TV shows are found on premium cable (although I watch them on DVD) due to better writing, lack of restrictions, and no commercials:
My first question is, between The Sopranos and The Wire, which was the better series overall, or which do you prefer? Or do you prefer another one over those two? (I happen to think The Sopranos and The Wire are the best drama series's of all time) I would give the Wire a slight edge due to its complexity and the fact that it confronted social and political issues in a serious, but entertaining way.
