I know there's such a thing as Modern Bluegrass, but it's just awful. Alison Krauss and shit. It's way too slow and sounds like every other piece of shit record that comes out.

I don't know, on the Easy Listening FM stations that have been popping up in San Diego (for driving) everything sounds so similar, and they have lots of old music too! Maybe I'll have to listen more to the artists you mentioned
You are very correct about most of what Garth Brooks has done. And the whole Chris Gaines thing...it's very, VERY bad.
The music of modern pop country is mostly recycled classic rock music with a steel guitar or a fiddle thrown on top to make it sound country. It is, again, not good. _________________ May we all get to heaven

Yeah, music keeps getting recycled! If you listen to classical there's a lot less recycling. If I wasn't involved in music making I would just listen to classical!
