No matter how hard I study Sticky Fingers, I can't seem to find those shit songs, let alone three of 'em.
Beggars Banquet
Sticky Fingers
Exile on Main Street
even Some Girls
All GREAT albums |
Agreeing to disagree.
I don't like these tracks nearly the same as the rest of the album:
You Gotta Move
Sister Morphine
Dead Flowers
Love In Vain
Country Honk
Dear Doctor
Those are all subpar performances in my book, ruing those albums respectively for me. Oddly enough I really like Far Away Eyes, which could be seen in the same vain, yet feels like it's mocking it/slightly a joke song...
But yeah, I'll stand by those songs above being weaker than anything else on their respective albums. I suppose for me they don't execute the sound as well as others.

And I don't feel they did a good job with it.

On the Stones front I actually find Beggar's Banquet to be a great cohesive album and one i truly like listening to in its entirety. But i guess thats the beauty of art it touches different people differently.

I love all their albums from the 60s and early 70s though. All of them. Beggar's is just their best.

you have a good point though. outside of abbey road, all of their albums have major duds that make for uneven listens. heck, even that album has the octopus garden song on it. still the most consistent overall from them though. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

Octopus’s Garden is a perfect song and one of their best though. Agree that Abbey Road is their best, but there are lots of great Beatles albums. And plenty of great albums can be uneven listens. _________________ Add me on RYM
