Reading between the lines, features are missing on BEA at the moment that don't make this possible, or people like the idea of their own stand-alone site. Changes could be made on BEA if there are things that people want added to facilitate this kind of thing, so that's just my $0.02 for the record (without intending to hijack the thread).

Well, I'm thinking, what is the reason that we on this thread even know each other even exist 
BEA
IMO, the "hijacking" would be to take an already established membership of people and take it to another site.
That's just how I see it though.
I think it should be a part of BEA and it would expand the membership of BEA even more for people would find BEA when looking for reviews of albums.
I say we do the opposite of taking away from BEA by adding to it 
We should be taking the members of sites like Sputnik music and bringing them to BEA.

To directely put a review function along side a comment function would be a bit much. Proberbly better to have it attached to the forum in some way or seperate from the website

^ The reason why I think there should a different site for it. We should select, maybe 20-30 'worthy' members who want to do it, and make a review site. BEA could also be a reference for our work though.
Just so everyone knows, this could be GREAT
It would be multi-continental though, so I don't know what the domain should be called due to language, etc...But english would probably be the best choice

That's what I'm a bit worried of as well. I guess one person (I guess it would have to be Jhereko ) would have to be an editor and basically be in charge of what is submitted.
I have to say I quite like the idea. Also, what CellarDoor proposed is interesting too.. And it doesn't have to just be a good vs a bad review (because yeah, for some albums you could struggle with that), just as long as it provides two different perspectives (the two reviewers could still both (dis)like it)
