I do not get the appeal of this album at all, it's incredibly boring to me

#1 on my chart.
Leper Messiah always does it for me. Stellar. And the production is their best. Right up in your face.

Agreed, the progression is unbeatable, I come back to it any time I need more energy.

I think they're both great, but my fave is The Thing That Should Not Be with Welcome Home (Sanitarium) very close behind.

This is the weakest song on the album for me.

While I do think The Thing That Should Not Be is one of the weaker tracks on this album, it sure is fucking devastatingly heavy and a unique point in Metallica's catalog.

This is pretty good but Ride the Lightning is their best. No doubt about it.

I agree with you, in most parts… "Master Of Puppets" is rather similar to "Ride the Lightning". You can find almost for each track of "Masters" a pendant on "Lighting". It's a good copy, but I prefer the original from 1984...

But to be honest: For me "Kill 'em all" is still the best Metallica Album. Whiplash, Motorbreath, Metal Militia, Seek & Destroy... that's the essence of Metallica!
