Although it does have a lot of familiar choices, this is not a bad chart.

For the second time today I am reminded of David Keenan, whose 2003 The Best Albums Ever...Honest was the only thing which made me know of Blackheart Man. Vis-à-vis the chart of tgarritsen, this actually has much more in common with Keenan’s list: eleven common albums and as many as twenty-two common artists.

More surprising is seeing the Bonzo Dog Band – about whom I previously knew only from an old book by Richie Unterberger – in an all-time list. The Last Poets are another influetial band that occasionally receives hype but are rarely seen on these sorts of lists. I cannot recall either from anyone else.

The Slits are another relative rarity in all-time charts, and one I myself can appreciate, although I actually prefer their underrated swansong Return of the Giant Slits over Cut.
