Hey, guys!

So, in a few months, I'm going to be releasing Charlie N. George's new album, Tales of Slipknot Oceans. I know that most of my work in the past was really bad, but this album marks a huge departure in sound for us; We have lots of industrial and doom metal (and even a pinch of shoegaze :p) influence along with the obvious Captain Beefheart stuff.

To show you how much we've changed, I wanted to show you guys a pair of demos from my new album. They're both mostly instrumental, and they still need a few more tweaks, but I really like them. But when I showed them to my mom (who hates almost any challenging music in general), she still hated it. So I wanted to see what you professional music guys thought of these tracks.

Electric Trumpet (an Electric Wizard-esque medley)

Cubbie's Nightmare (IT'S NOT DUBSTEP!!! GARRRR!!!!!)

So, what do you think, guys? Any constructive criticism would be great. Thanks!
-Charlie

It won't let me listen to Cubbie's Nightmare.

Electric Trumpet, constructive criticism, Think

I do like coughing in songs. Like this one which is the intro to sweet leaf.

I really like the anti-government lyrics Very Happy

Now, this is just me, and I'm a rather dark character musically. More often than not, I start out with a nice feeling inside and intend on making upbeat music, only to have it twist into a dark and doomed sound.

I would darken Electric Trumpet by having the vocals tweaked sonically into a more "electric" voice and maybe mix it down an octave.

And maybe add a whispering voice out of one channel saying Illuminati.

But that's just me. I'm with Lennon as far as not wanting to fill the world with silly love songs.

Really? You think Electric Trumpet should be darker? Shocked I can certainly do that, though I expected everyone to think that it was too dark.
