against another behemoth of the decade lol - 212 is ofc superb, but darken her horse is transcendent, really a perfect song.

the humongous chorus takes more than half the song to arrive, but worth the wait - not that the journey there is any sort of chore.

I didn't know Darken Her Horse, and I liked it. But 212 is truly excellent. Azealia Banks wins my vote

Her flow on this song is actually flawless. Probably the single greatest rap/house crossover ever, to boot.

Azealia Banks is the poster child of thrwarted potential (admittedly a good amount of it by her own doing) in the 2010s, but damn 212 still sounds as crisp as it did nearly a decade ago. Gotta agree that it's one of the great genre mash-ups of this or any other decade. Austra is... nice enough, but 212 is something else entirely.

212 is a thunderstorm of one-shot. Sublime and anthemic, can't get enough of it despite the very frequent airplay in my house. A fav for the tourney.

I mean it's only a genre mashup in the sense that any jazz-funk song is a genre mashup. Hip house is and was an established genre.

Definitely going with 212 here.

Sure, whatever, if we're genre or linguistics policing here, a great cross of styles in a burgeoning sub-genre. Song is great however one classifies it.
