Pretty heavy on the Radiohead, but I suppose that I should've expected that based on the username... d'oh!

Pulled a Rolling Stone with the top 5, though it's Radiohead instead of The Beatles. I have similar views on both artists, but Kid A is a lot better than Sgt. Pepper's at the very least. Unlike that list, though, there's a good amount of more recent records here, as well as a solid amount of jazz and hip-hop rather than just assorted rock subgenres. Though DAMN > GKMC > TPAB is very much not the way I'd have it. It'd be interesting to see the list with only one entry per artist (not that my own chart is like that Whistle ).

I don't. It's just so blatantly canon and there are very few surprises.

The chart is heavily “canon”, if perhaps a more “modern” canon than that of the Rolling Stone editors whom one “janitor-x” described in the middle 2000s as a bunch of aging hippies attached to the ideas of the 1960s. Rather, the chart reflects a kind of “alternative” canon that incorporates several key influences from before punk.
