I have done Nanowrimo the last 3 years but have got too much stuff going on at home this year, so I am giving it a miss this time round.
I will be doing SocNoc again in June though (which is a very similar thing!)
Are you doing it?

50000 words in a month is in practice a lot easier than it sounds in theory. It is about 2000 words a day which is about 4 or 5 pages in word.
I loved doing it but don't have the time this year.
Jack you will have a great time - what are you going to write about (or what are you writing about because you should have started by now)?

I did a great deal of writing in college, have writte songs and poems and a couple books.
But I have never written a novel for I just don't think that I can
One must be able to create and build characters that evoke emotion and interest.
It would be cool if people would post some of their writings in this thread

That's what I'm saying outlaw.
We really don't see anything from anybody on this site.
We don't have a clue what each other even look like 
All I was trying to say is that writing a NOVEL IMO is a whole different ball game compared to songs and poems.
I was thinking it might be cool if we all wrote something together with people adding their own lines to it until we had a complete work
O well, not gonna happen.
