Agreed.
I do like playing "Crying Lightning" on the drums though. Matt Helders is great. I was glad he got a chance to do something else a few years ago with that Iggy Pop record.

I don't recall a single thing about it. I think in 2009 I was mainly listening to Jay Electronica and Freddie Gibbs and The xx and dubstep. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

Ditto what others have said, very surprised this is even in BEA's top 1000.
IMO I guess Arctic Monkeys' 4th or 5th best _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!

I like it enough, although I'm a bit of a fangirl about Arctic Monkeys. I fell in love with the debut, each album got a little worse, big comeback with AM, wasn't too impressed with the last one. But I can appreciate any act that mixes it up a little every release.
Humbug is the fourth best in my opinion.
Debut
AM
Favorite Worst Nightmare
Humbug
Suck It and See

Ditto this order, IMO debut and AM are nearly tied for 1, big drop off to Favourite Worst Nightmare, then an even bigger jump to Humbug/Suck It/Tranquility _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!

I definitely agree this is better than AM. But also AM as an album was sloppy in a specific way where what I disliked about it turned out to be present in their other records. AM’s release week was the last time I thought Arctic Monkeys was a good band.

That sloppiness felt more like variety to me. _________________ Do it yourself and let me play my music: https://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?c=61802
