I'm only asking because I'm considering listening to The Loathesome Lambton Worm, the unofficial sequel to The Wicker Man.
SPOILER: Apparently, in the novel, Howie's survival is hinted. On a personal note this pleases me because I usually can't watch cult-oriented films where the villains win. I hate those kinds of endings, likely due to a personal discomfort stemming from my own Christianity. But since there have been a few occasions whre it's been hinted at his survival, (and it could be made official someday), I'm more motivated to watch the movie. _________________ Do it yourself and let me play my music: https://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?c=61802

I (not a big reader) have this argument with my wife (a big reader) constantly. Recently I got her hooked on an audiobook of a book from our younger days, though, so I think I'm about to gain the upper hand!
Have you *literally* read the book? No. But you've absorbed the exact content of the book in some way. Shouldn't that ultimately be what counts?

I can't audio book.
So therefore, for me, no.
For me words have so much meaning, so it needs my fully undivided attention. I've listened to spoken word and usually have to turn off the lights to really get there.
But a book, my mind can get lost in that so much better.
