I agree NAFTA does not define it.
But if you had attended my geography class and said Jamaica is part of North America you would have lost marks and if I attended your geography class and said it is not I would have lost point.
What I am saying is that geography is not a "pure" science as E=MC2 and that the determination of continents and geographical regions are culturally defined concepts and vary across cultures and education systems. Now I don't mind using YOUR definition of what North America is but I just wanted to clarify that the reason that my definition of North America is different from yours is not lack of education and I agree that my first statement on this matter failed to take that into account. This will be my last say on this anyway because -in the end- I don't care.
Gary - thanks for informing me as to where Opeth comes from and about rumours of your death do not worry, I have been rumored death more than once too.

In Canada they definitely teach geography. The Caribbean is part of North America geographically. Culturally it may be quite distinct, but geographically it is in North America (as is Central America). NorthERN America, on the other hand, is usually just Canada and the States (plus the territories of Bermuda, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, and Greenland). The term Anglo-America is also occasionally used (though in this instance it doesn't include the English-speaking nations of the Caribbean).
Outlaw said we had 7 days. I think there are 1 or 2 left... I still need to submit my list after listening to a few more albums... should do so tomorrow.

Direct from wikipedia (though I know that wiki is not always a reliable source, it just seems that they'll put it better than I will). Bold is my own. wikipedia wrote: | Anglo-America includes the United States (Hawaii excluded) and Canada in North America, and the term is frequently used in reference to the two countries together. Despite having a French-speaking majority, Quebec is often considered part of Anglo-America due to cultural, economic, geographical, historical, and political considerations. Other areas composing the Anglophone Caribbean include territories of the British West Indies, Belize, Bermuda, and Guyana. |
So yes, while Quebec (and northern Ontario and western New Brunswick) are primarily francophone, by convention it is usually included in Anglo-America. And it seems I was incorrect in my exclusion of Anglophone Caribbean from the term.
On a side note Jack, if you spent years on your French, I'd hope you'd speak it better than that.
