Over long distance, I am helping my dad put together a fun Christmas quiz that he runs every year for a very mixed group.
This year we are looking to do a Christmas themed music section, where either the song title or the name of the band has some connection (even in the most abstract sense) with a British style Christmas.
I thought that you lovely BEAers might be able to help.
The songs should be fairly well known to a mixed age range (so nothing too obscure and probably should have made a brief appearance in the UK charts over the last 50 years)
Some of the ones we have come up with so far are:
'April Skies' - The Jesus and Mary Chain
'The King of Rock N Roll' - Prefab Sprout
'Let's Turkey Trot' - Little Eva
King - Love and Pride
Primal Scream - Ivy Ivy Ivy or Star
Aphex Twin - Donkey Rhubarb
Spandau Ballet - Gold
The White Stripes feat. Holly Golightly - It's True That We Love One Another
The Stone Roses - Fools Gold
