...now, that I think about it, it wasn't all that bad. Being a Canuck rocks! Very Happy

Now I'm just fucking depressed. harkan's going to kill me for saying this but...we suck so bad compared to you guys. I mean when the best song up there ^ is by a New Zealander (that's your cue mancsoulsister Razz ), that doesn't say much for the Australian music industry.

I agree on some parts Jhereko (Canada has better talent), but it isn't all bad. Gotye (Belgian born) is something unique for Australia and we always inherit Kiwis so that isn't new. If I had my way, Grinderman 2 would have won Album of the Year.

I gotta admit/agree though I may not like a lot of what he does, I gotta give Gotye props for at least trying to do some different stuff (which in our musical climate is revo-fucking-lutionary). And yeah totes agree that grinderman 2 shoulda won out of that lot (have you heard Moonfire? Brick wall )

You know Australian music is subpar when this album:

is nominated for Album of the Year. d'oh!

On the bright side, Ukulele Baby won Best Children's Album, so all is forgiven. Cool

Laughing I actually agree with all of this.

SINGLE OF THE YEAR: Gotye feat. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know

When the competition is this:

Birds of Tokyo – "Wild at Heart"
Boy & Bear – "Feeding Line"
Drapht – "Rapunzel"
Guy Sebastian featuring Eve – "Who's That Girl"
The Jezabels – "Dark Storm"

... it deserves the win.
