Not my favourite Beatles album. That will probably always and forever be The White Album. But Rubber Soul is still a fantastic LP, filled with songs that are both catchy and musically interesting. The Fabs really start experimenting with using the studio as an instrument at this point, which would continue on through Revolver and Sgt Peppers. This album has a few of my favourite Beatles songs on it - but then, every album does. Here, they are In My Life, Norwegian Wood, and Girl - so all John songs. But Paul has some great tunes: I love Michelle and I'm Looking Through You. Think for Yourself is my favourite of George's two contributions to this album - Macca's fuzz bass sounds fantastic, especially in the mono mix.

Hope I'll not get myself into a debate again... Not my favorite Beatles album anymore but it contains a dose of my favorite songs ever; Norwegian Wood, Michelle, Girl and In My Life are soo inspiring it is unreal.
