Thanks for the turnout everybody— I don't know if it was you or me, but despite the extra bit of time, this poll flew right by. Cinematically, 2022 in general felt like 2023 to me for some reason‚ and I haven't been able to shake that. A lot of the films— EEAAO, Tár, Aftersun, Triangle of Sadness, RRR— feel like they fit the numeral '2023' moreso than something so slick and repetitive as '2022'. It was a year of oddballs— and oh, how glad I am it was. Amid the melancholy, the drama, the nostalgia, those earnest moments that pull heartstrings and etch themselves in our head— it was unabashedly bonkers (and to see these risks snag some rewards is always a treat).

A total of 196 unique films were submitted. Special thank you to those who submitted acting and score lists, they'll be up first.
