EDIT: Goddamn it Mercury, you changed the #1 Laughing

sorry, mate! I had given up hope then I saw the Gowi post. Hope Gowi's good as well.

as for this clue about changing the number 1... interesting... looking at NEWly added films or ones I moved way up or down, I assume I put One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest number 1 as I had somehow omitted it before. Or maybe just maybe the fact that I made my list longer, and thus gave more weight or power to my higher picks, I put Nashville number 1! (That would be awesome but I doubt it.)

I look forward to the list whenever it is unveiled.

Shhh not sayin' (you'll find out soon enough— might not be what you expect)

As far as Gowi, I know there was a major storm in Michigan recently and about half a million buildings lost power. Might have something to do with that...

I'm going to postpone posted the list. Will keep everyone updated. (If anyone has any adjustments to their list, they'll be allowed).

Hope Gowi is alright. I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow morning, and was curious to see it before I go off-grid for five days. If it's posted this week, I may not see it for a while. Oh well.

@cestuneblague - Cool to see your LB page (didn't know you had one). Cool list too. As for The China Syndrome, agreed it's a great film about news media, in addition to being thought-provoking about corporate greed and the paranoia of the Cold War/nuclear energy. It's worth noting this film was made right before The Three Mile Island Accident, and seven years before the Chernobyl Disaster, almost as if it was a chilling foreshadowing. But anyway, I don't know if I'd call The China Syndrome a "masterpiece" but I do think it's a very good film, symbolic of the 70s, that for whatever reason doesn't get much attention these days.

I think I'll postpone the list exactly one week. Genuinely wasn't going to— haven't extended the deadline this late into the poll before— but I don't see any point in posting it knowing there could still be a list (or two) submitted. Sorry if anyone was looking forward to it being posted today, but I think it's the right call.

Being said, go take a vacation Razz — don't even think about it.

Also, I had a stupid choice for the final film I got around to watching for this poll— Eric Rohmer's Boyfriends & Girlfriends...

... which, came out in 1987 d'oh!

Good film. But... oops.

Anyway, plan at the moment is for the list to be posted September 3rd.

Cool, so can I re-submit? I actually want to go over it more carefully since I just spat the list out to get something in on time.
