Hi, this is kind of a stupid question and, that said, I'm not sure I can ask it properly, but here I go.
I was told that, right at this moment (is that all right?), I mean, during this 2011 in general, one of the trends in Europe is that Trance music is being played at parties instead of House or whatever it is called (that shit like Lady Gaga and Guetta).
Is this that I say true? If so, which are the top songs right now?

I don't think I was clear enough, but, really, I don't know how to express it in a better way than this. Hope you understand.

And about trance: I have only heard one recent song, ""Waiting". I thought it was OK, that although it is a little commercial, it is not THAT commercial as it seems to be.

I dind't find the version a friend of mine gave to me (that one lasts 7 minutes) so instead I post this one. The clip sucks btw.

I don't know much about trance music (really, I also wish I knew more), but David Guetta and Lady GaGa are not house music.

Lady Gaga isn't really house. Guetta IS house, though, as are Daft Punk and Deadmau5 (well, okay, Deadmau5 is progressive house, but w/e).

Anyway, here in North America (and I hear in the UK as well) the big trend has been more towards dubstep rather than trance. I dunno if that's big in mainland Europe or not, though.

that's not true, i live in France (and travel in Europe) and popular clubs play mainly House, Guetta, Jennifer Lopez...etc
of course there's some clubs where you can find Trance, Techno, EuroDance Acid House, Drum & Bass...etc.
but i guess that these styles of electro are more popular in Europe.
