More exciting stuff from Brigand, esp the first 2, although I do like Donna Summer too.

Now I'm racking my brains for a suitable continuation, only coming up with this Prince 12" version so far.

and this extraordinary performance at George Harrison's induction into the Hall of Fame 2004. It's like a throwback to Hendrix. It may not be a 12" strictly but I just wanted to share it.

I never heard that version of While My Guitar. It was actually pretty good and it was even well sung.

From the days before I'd heard of 12 inch versions when you had to buy the single to hear part one and interrupt the listening to turn the single over for part two. Part two - the bit that was never played on the radio - is particularly brilliant here so I would suggest you skip to about 3 minutes in if you are going to give it a listen.

One of my favourite 12" versions, although it's only short I do think it's knocks the 7" edit into a cocked hat.

Great stuff. I’d not heard this version before Very Happy

Glad you liked it melisandre. It's only short but it proper packs a punch. One of my all time favourite 12" records Applause

Strawberry Switchblade's extended version of Jolene, minor hit for them in 85. They only made one full studio album although there were a few singles that were not on the album (like this one) but there was definitely something about the harmony of those two voices that makes me wish they had stayed together for longer.

Yes indeed. I have it on his album Live at the London Palladium, even though it's not live but a studio track. It's about 12 minutes long.

Sorry Brigand I will listen to your 12" soon and I know there is a longer version of GTGIU that is well worth listening to but meanwhile I think this is a pretty decent version redone in the 12" format by Comsat Angels.
