Posts like this are one of the reasons I wanted to find a site like this. Id like to get involved if/when I get the time. I wanted to reply because after reading this post last night I decided to listen to the first album choice. I then listened to it again, and then another 3 times today. I haven't done this, especially with new music, for a long time. I doubt I would have found this album if it wasnt for this post, so thank you!

Shoelace & A Knot by Yungatita
I've got Helium & Mary Timony on my brain due to her new single, BUT this strikes me as cool combo platter of Helium and dream pop. Digging it so far.
edit: speaking of 2024 albums, that Sprints album is positively fire!!!

If anybody wants to nominate an album, just fire away. I'm trying to keep the release date within the week timeframe to "capture the year" better. I picked a random artist I've never heard of: Marika Hackman, album called Big Sigh, released 1/12/24. Let's see if it's any good.

So I gave a listen to the Yungatita album and I really enjoyed it. Reminded a TON of The Beths (which is great, because I love The Beths). Definitely a great album to start off the year _________________ 2023 Chart
