NEW PLAYERS: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE YOU PLAY

So. This game is the Best Album Game: '70s Redux edition. What you do is make a list of your ten favorite albums from the '70s that are NOT in the top 100 on BEA. For your convenience, here are the albums that are disqualified:

The Dark Side of the Moon-Pink Floyd
IV-Led Zeppelin
London Calling-The Clash
Wish You Were Here-Pink Floyd
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars-David Bowie
Who's Next-The Who
The Wall-Pink Floyd
Exile On Main St.-The Rolling Stones
Blood On the Tracks-Bob Dylan
Born to Run-Bruce Springsteen
Unknown Pleasures-Joy Division
Rumours-Fleetwood Mac
Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols-The Sex Pistols
Marquee Moon-Television
A Night at the Opera-Queen
What's Going On-Marvin Gaye
Hunky Dory-David Bowie
Physical Graffiti-Led Zeppelin
Houses of the Holy-Led Zeppelin
Animals-Pink Floyd
Sticky Fingers-The Rolling Stones
Paranoid-Black Sabbath
Low-David Bowie
Blue-Joni Mitchell
Led Zeppelin III-Led Zeppelin
Pink Moon-Nick Drake
After the Gold Rush-Neil Young

The one you put a TEN next to is the one you give the most points to. The one you put a ONE next to is the one you put a one next to. I'll give an example with my own entries:

10. Quadrophenia-The Who
9. Black Sabbath-Black Sabbath
8. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway-Genesis
7. Red-King Crimson
6. Armed Forces-Elvis Costello
5. Another Green World-Brian Eno
4. Black Rose: A Rock Legend-Thin Lizzy
3. Mothership Connection-Parliament
2. Stained Class-Judas Priest
1. Game, Dames and Guitar Thangs-Eddie Hazel

The idea is to get some interesting matchups and start a tournament that doesn't need yer Rolling Stone Quality Handbook that your dad gave you to be assessed.

Quadrophenia gets TEN POINTS. GD&GT gets ONE POINT. After everyone's list has been tallied, the ten albums with the MOST POINTS from everyone's combined lists will be entered into a poll, and the album with the most votes will be THE BEA FORUMS' UN/OFFICIAL BEST ALBUM OF THE '70S(redux)!!

People will have seven days from now to get their list in. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. Let the games begin!

10. Sail Away - Randy Newman
9. Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
8. Black Sabbath Volume 4 - Black Sabbath
7. The B-52's - The B-52's
6. Rocket To Russia - Ramones
5. Imagine - John Lennon
4. Highway to Hell - AC/DC
3. Quadrophenia - The Who
2. Songs in the Key of Life - Stevie Wonder
1. Every Picture Tells a Story - Rod Stewart

Movie soundtracks, Bob Marley albums, Marvin Gaye albums, Queen albums, Janis Joplin albums, compilations, and live albums excluded. Laughing Also, I would have included more John Lennon albums and such, but, well.......I tried to include only one album from an artist if I could. So the only artist with more than one album on this list is Black Sabbath. (I wonder, though, what would've happened if Paranoid had qualified for this..........man, then there'd be THREE BS albums, err, I mean Black Sabbath albums...)

Uhhhhhhh..........didn't Bitches Brew come out in 1969? It's a 60's album then, isn't it? Or are you considering the version with the bonus track released in 1970?
