Prefer Blur to Gorillaz, so more upset about that. But it happens. Most of the 90s bands I like have split up or gone idle for years.
Though there's always hope. 3-man band Grant Lee Buffalo dissolved over the course of their last two albums in the late 90s, but reconciled with each other and reformed for a small international tour last year. Jesus Jones, inert but never officially split since the 2004 EP I use as my avatar did a couple of shows earlier this year (postponed from last fall due to a band member's injury) and are currently discussing more shows with promoters to see if they can generate interest. The band collaborated on The Collection, a compilation CD of their favorite singles, rarities, b-sides, and previously unreleased material (some excellent tunes they left on the cutting room floor, let me tell you). And Blur went idle quite a long time before getting back together last year. So one never knows in the future... _________________ <(: @ >
