Once upon a time, long before I ever came on BEA there was a man who appeared in these forums and just as quickly left and was never heard from again. I've looked back on the great wisdom that he hath left us with and I'm humbled by his greatness.

For within his few, but profoundly informative, posts there lies great wisdom. From him I learned that an album can suck, but still be a great classic. He had the unique ability to somehow manage to contradict himself 3 times in a single post. Very impressive indeed.

Among his staggering accomplishments is the fact that, gathering from his posts, he has seen every band/artist that ever existed in concert. Leading me to conclude that he was not only 186 years old. But that he was omnipresent.

He beguiled me with his personal view that, if you are not an expert in the English language your opinions on music were rendered null and were to be ignored.


But he is gone now and we are left all on our own to somehow manage to figure out what music is all about.

Rumor has it that he has gone back to live out his days in the cave where he was raised and rejoin a pack of Brohios somewhere in the Amazon.

Maybe they are a different kind of chill than the ones I get when listening to a rapturous piece. I liken it to nails on a blackboard. Maybe that can give someone the chills I suppose. Also, I tried to get thru the Suicide song which went on and on and on and on and other than the words which I don't care about, it was structurally weak and obviously repetitive. I thought this forum was about giving us the chills not the creeps. I'm actually disappointed that you guys think that stuff is any good. Unless you're into the lyrics and I'm not. You tell me.

While I'm no fan of Senor Nipples chart, he more than makes up for that with his calm and rational battle against the perennial elephant in the room known as jj. Since 6 she knows hip-hop. I'm sure us old-timers are really impressed. She discounts the 50 plus crowd as know-nothings while her tiny brain has been absorbing hip-hop from day-one and that's puts her in "the know." As we all grow older, we remember how we were at a younger age. How we, "knew it all". I knew it all. But now I know more. I have more life experiences. In some countries they revere their elders. JJ reveres reading her own bombast while chowing down on another tin of lard.
Oh to be young again and be able to actually think I knew it all when I knew much less. Passion has been replaced by reality. I miss the passion but I don't miss being as shallow as I was then. JJ will get it when she too passes a certain age. Until then, we can read from the collected musings of miss-know-it-all and harken back to better days when we too thought we knew it all. The defense rests.
