Will the Iowa Caucus determine the Nominee for the republican party or will it have a little effect like in 2008

I think it won't be strong evidence. As the preliminary results showed (I haven't checked any updates the last few hours) it'll be close. I DO think it'll kick a handful of them out though.

.

It is important, don't let Bork deceive you.

Only ONCE has the Republican nominee for president not placed in the top 3 in Iowa.

And O, by the way, Ron Paul finished in the top 3 Very Happy

It's a good indicator of who is dead in the water (especially nowadays with more and more potential candidates making the supercons their primary audience), but the caucus-style vote is still immensely flawed. Not very good at pointing out a winner, but quite good at narrowing out the losers.

I doubt his hype will last very long. He's even crazier than Bachmann was.

I'm just glad Perry and Bachmann have been knocked down far enough that they don't have a shot anymore.

Romney and Santorum came REALLY close, that was quite ridiculous. But, of course, like Bork said, this won't decide much. The real question is who the stupid undecideds will decide to vote for last minute.

Bachmann isn't running anymore, she dropped out.

Perry dropped out and then jumped right back in.

And I will repeat, Ron Paul got third place Very Happy
