So we all, obviously, have very different tastes in music, and for every album out there there are people who love it and people who hate it. Of course, there are a handful that the vast majority of music fans come to agree is a masterpiece, and these albums usually come to be known as "classics". Now, we all have a handful of classics that we just can't enjoy, but in most cases it's easy to see what the grand appeal is.

Nevertheless, there are definitely more than a couple albums with status ranging from classic to legendary that I just absolutely cannot see the appeal of. A few examples:

The White Album - I started a thread in an attempt to figure out what the appeal of this album was, and though people had some very insightful answers, I still just don't get it. It's got some good tunes, but it's far from The Beatles' best and far from even being all that GOOD, in my opinion.

Kid A - Okay, it's good, but #10? I just don't see it. It's just so...ambient.

Velvet Underground & Nico - It's not awful to listen to, but I do get rather bored listening to it.

Highway 61 Revisited - Okay, I'm ready to take some heat for this one, but Bob Dylan's voice is possibly the worst in all of rock & roll. I don't care HOW unique and influential this album may have been, it's just not even remotely enjoyable to listen to.

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars - Okay, I actually rather enjoy this album, I just don't understand why it's considered Bowie's best. Hunky Dory, Low, Heroes, and Scary Monsters are all better, in my opinion.

Born to Run - I just don't think I'll ever understand Springsteen's appeal.

Unknown Pleasures - I keep trying to like Joy Division, I really do, but I still don't see the appeal.

So that's a handful. So what are those albums that everyone else seems to love that you just don't "get"?

London Calling: Too many bad ska/reggae songs.

The Bends: Apart from a few great songs (Just, High And Dry, bones and Fake Plastic Trees) it's really wuite dull.

Doolittle: I like some of the songs but there's alot of filelr on there.

The Queen is Dead: Too many lame throwaway songs.

Who's Next: I don't know but it just dosen't grip me.

Are You Experienced? has never really clicked with me, save Purple Haze and (somewhat) Foxey Lady.

I'll never understand why people love Oasis so much. They're just... so samey. And 90% of their albums are considered garbage BY THEIR OWN FANS. I mean, what the hell?

Yeah. Oasis is a band that makes no sense Confused Even their fans dislike them to an extent. It's not like their music's great. And everything after What's The Story is next to garbage.....

I do like 'Live Forever' though. Very Happy That's a good one.

In The Aeroplane Over The Sea
London Calling

Those are the two big ones I can think of at the moment. I dont necessarily dislike either of them, but I just cant get into them nearly as much as others clearly do. Try them out again every few years to see if they finally click, just hasnt happened yet.
