how many albums in your top 10 and/or 100 did you discover thanks to BEA users? and what are they? and from who, if you remember?
I've got 4 or 5 in my current top 10:
Talk Talk-Laughing Stock (via theharrisonfords)
Neutral Milk Hotel-In the Aeroplane over the Sea (via everyone)
Cut Copy-In Ghost Colours (via Jhereko)
Built to Spill-Perfect From Now On (via don't remember, but I'll give credit to cartoken)
lastly I'll give credit to CellarDoor for introducing me to the most albums (and for producing the idea for this thread), though sometimes they're a little too ambient

Oh my word I just realized my entire top 30 is made of albums that I found by myself or picking out the overall chart.
My top 10 was already brought and listened before I signed up here.

Brilliant topic. I've learned about some great albums from this site.
I've found albums that I really enjoy, and some that I think are good, but I've also found some of my favourites on here. So glad I came
These are all albums that I probably wouldn't have found out about without recommendations from this site:
Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
Microphones - The Glow Pt. 2
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Pixies - Doolittle
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
This Heat - Deceit
Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes
Young Marble Giants - Colossal Youth
The Antlers - Hospice
Galaxie 500 - On Fire
Exuma - Exuma (thanks purple)
Chameleons - Scripts Over The Bridge
The Olivia Tremor Control - Music From The Unrealized Film Script: Dusk At Cubist Castle
Jens Lekman - Night Falls Over Kortedala
Eels - Beautiful Freak
Pharoah Sanders - Karma
Ween - The Mollusk
Pop Group - Y
Scott Walker - Scott 4
well, of course, I might of found them, but probably not as quickly.
All great albums _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

I have been introduced to so much since being on BEA. Many albums and artists have become favourites including:
Talk Talk - everything they have done really (especially The Colour Of Spring)
The National - High Violet
Tim Buckley - Lorca
Air - Moon Safari
Wire - first 3 albums
DJ Shadow - Endtroducing...
The Jesus & Mary Chain - Darklands
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven
Don't remember mostly who brought these to my attention but I am grateful none the less.

I don't believe there are many of these, but:
*Frank Zappa-Freak Out (Freddie)
*Modest Mouse-The Moon and Antarctica (CJ )
*Comus-First Utterance (Squishy)
*Caravan-In the Land of Grey and Pink (Squishy)
...Yeah, I rely on RYM custom charts much more than BEA members for music suggestions...

The last ones were Colin Stetson and Matana Roberts - both cellardoor recommandations I think. Stetson is too recent a listen to get anywhere my chart (but it probably will, at least the decade chart), whereas Roberts has made it high on my 2010s chart (but not too many albums so far).

Wait, why do we all call Wolf CJ? Is Wolf's name CJ?
A couple I can think of...
Fall of Troy - Manipulator (toerly4flapjaks)
Los Campesinos - Romance Is Boring (40foottwolf)
Agalloch - The Mantle (Necharsian)
Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea (everyone)
St. Vincent (Jhereko, I think?) _________________ A dick that's bigger than the sun.
