Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

They have the 2 of the most memorable album covers ever, hugely popular and contain both more popular and critically acclaimed songs than any on Revolver.

I'm surprised Revolver has never ever been 5th with these two above it.

Trust me. In most charts with Abbey Road and Revolver, Abbey Road's higher. The problem is that most charts don't have Abbey Road when they have Revolver.

Swans discography is all rather low, and JMan's Abbey Road/Revolver explanation is pretty good and actually is true often Applause

Some Mudhoney and Screaming Trees albums could be higher.
Ill second the screaming trees, in general they just dont seem to get as much love as you would expect.

I'm genuinely surprised that American Beauty by Grateful Dead isn't in the top 100. It's not even in the top 200. I thought that album was widely considered among the best. I certainly think it is Razz

Agree, I remember being really shocked by that when I first noticed that...

You and I are the only two who really frequent forums with it on our overall charts... A real shame...

Not even quite this, necessarily. Basically, while Abbey Road is easily more often ahead of Revolver than vice versa, the gap tends to be much bigger when Revolver is higher.

Well I like it a lot, but by no mean I think it's THAT good. I guess I'm pleased with its ranking. High, but not too high.

No, it is a surprise. I am surprised Abbey Road and Sgt Peppers are not higher than Revolver. If you have anything to discuss on the matter you are obviously not showing with it these missing the points and doesn't understand that so riddle your speechs.

So Revolver is only getting higher because people are putting it alongside the other two without putting the other two together?

Something still doesn't feel right to me. Think If people are putting two of the albums they are more likely to put all three. If they were only to choose one album, you would think they were more likely to go for Sgt Pepper or Abbey Road.

I agree with the people who said Loveless. Looking at the 90's chart, I'm surprised that The Bends and Aeroplane are ahead of it, especially The Bends.

Also, we need to get Doolittle back in the top 20, and Rubber Soul out.
