IMO there are many Resident albums that are excellent and Eskimo is one of those, but is quite different to the majority of their other records.

Among their best would be:

Commercial Album (40 songs of 1 minute each, a pretty satirical album. They laugh at the idea of pop songs).
Not Available (they came with really bizarre but interesting album on this one)
Duck Stab / Buster & Glen (compilation of two excellent eps)
Meet the Residents (their debut)
The Third Reich 'n Roll (it was created using cut and paste techniques)

Thanks again, Commercial Album sounds especially interesting. I heard their thought behind it was that the average pop song is 3 minutes, but is made up of only chorus and verse each repeated 3 times they realized that if you cut out the repetition then the song is really only 1 minute long.
