- Post subject: Most shocking omissions.....
|
I have just been compiling my top 20 albums list, and have been surprised that a couple of my selections (and a few that didn't make the final cut) have never been selected for any of the lists mentioned on here. These albums being:
"Fore!" by Huey Lewis and The News
"The Best Little Secrets are Kept" by Louis XIV
"Feeling Strangely Fine" by Semisonic
Now I know I may be biased, and I am sure that a lot of people with think that some or all of these are crap, but I am still amazed that I am the only person to consider these albums to be worthy of a place on here.
Has anyone else been shocked that one of their favourites hasn't appeared on here before you included it?
(BTW... I am new on here, so forgive me if this is a boring post and of no interest to anyone!) lol

Oh, I get that all the time from albums I liked a lot. There have been several albums I scratch my head at because no one has considered them. It happens all the time, just consider yourself fortunate that you and you alone have those albums... Think like an elitist, be incredibly offended that no one else likes it and give a bunch of shit for it. <wink>
Some of the albums I have had that no one else considered:
In The City - The Jam
African Herbsman - Bob Marley and The Wailers
Face to Face - The Kinks
The Psychedelic Furs - The Psychedelic Furs
Blade Runner - Vangelis
Flaunt It - Sigue Sigue Sputnik
Those are just a handful, so it happens to all of us, just have fun with it- and don't be surprised, it could've just escaped someone's memory...

Don't be shocked either... New albums, most of the time, are either I. crap (lol.) or II. undiscovered by the general public (this website), only time can tell whether curiosity will guide us to on of those selections, and who knows, it can spur on others to put them up on their lists as well.

I've known that to happen. The one I remember was when I put Easter Everywhere by the 13th Floor Elevators on my list (it was on for about 4 days). I was really surprised no one else had put it on.

I am truly disappointed in the whole list. Bob Dylan not in the top 10......1 Bon Dylan album in the top 20. People should be ashamed........These lists are for the birds _________________ the roonster

Hash Jar Nazis sound worse than Lou Reed's Machine Metal days when all he made was noise. Smoke another bong hit _________________ the roonster
