Where do you draw the line between banter and insults?
I just wonder if I am an offender... if you deem so , I shall desist immediately.

No, banter is fine if the other person is playing along and not taking offence.
However, there are a few members that are being picked on and it is not fair to them if we are seen to be doing nothing to protect them.

Thank you. The discourse on here has gotten a bit ugly lately. Can we add making racist/sexist/homophobic comments to the rule list?
It's your call, of course.

Telefunker, you're safe. Everyone's afraid of you. This doesn't affect you.

There are certain lines that shouldn't be crossed, just like there is in normal society.
Of course, important issues like racism, agism, sexism should be able to be debated and discussed here, but to use any of these issues as an 'angle of attack' against a fellow member would be completely wrong in my book. I'm unable to read every single post, so maybe we should add some more forum moderators?
Personally, I don't think we should go down the route of censoring people too much as we want to facilitate a 'fun' site without having too many rules in place. However, it is not a fun site for certain people if they can be openly abused without anything seen to be done about it (it also makes it look like we don't care, when we do).

I'd volunteer to moderate, but I'm already a moderator on two sites and likely wouldn't have time - I only read threads I post in, for the most part.
I'll stick to bringing stuff to your attention and leaving the discretion up to you. _________________ <(: @ >

Hey, half the fun of this site is seeing some of the ridiculous garbage people put in their lists and replying. Teasing them is good practice for the real world. Just because some in here have super-thin skin shouldn't mean doing away with some heavy-handed criticism. They need some toughing up by the way some respond. I totally agree with racist comments and I haven't seen any of those yet anyhow. Let me know what you think and if my comments have offended you in any way. Keep in mind, heated debate would sure be more fun than a room full of "yes-men". _________________ Oh, my hair is getting good in the back!

How about just adding a small "report abuse" button? or something like that.
