I believe that this is the Bowie album, which should be expected from him more. This is also a disk, which is his "business card" in the future, even if the due date would be a bit out of date ... a classic album! Mick Ronson is the man for this album Smile

Wonderful album-dreamy, theatrical and filled with subtle pathos.

When I was younger, I had to drive my mother 300 miles to Denver. She had cancer, and was going there to stay with my aunt while she waited to die. I dropped her off, and I knew I would probably never see her again. I was too young for this, and I couldn't stay.

The 300 mile drive home took 5 days. I took detours. I sat in the car on the side of the road. I slept under the stars. I tried to deal. The only music I had on the trip was whatever crappy radio there was in the mountains and a copy of Ziggy Stardust. I listened to this album for five days, pretty much nonstop. It played while I slept. I never once tired of it. This album got me through. I learned it front to back, knew every word, sang them all very loudly, and somehow bonded with Ziggy Stardust. I don't listen to it much anymore, because I don't have to. I feel like it's a part of me. I can play the entire album in my head and not miss a note. When I'm down, this album lifts me back up without even having to listening to it.

I think that's pretty damn cool.

Time takes a cigarette....

An absolute gem! I have never grown tired of this album and it sounds just as alive and vibrant to me today as it did when I dropped a needle on its surface for the very first time.

What's not to like here?
