Inspired by the city v. city tournament (amazing idea, harkan). What's your favorite music scene? i.e. same city, genre, restricted number of years

Los Angeles punk

X, Gun Club, Black Flag, Germs, Minutemen, Agent Otange, Adolescents, Social Distortion, Circle Jerks, The Go
Gos, The Runaways, Fear, The Screamers, The Blasters, The Weirdos...

some activity by The Doors (esp. Ray Manzarek), The Stooges, New York Dolls, The Cramps, The Sex Pistols, etc

Thanks for the nice comments and it's good to see I am influencing some people (today BEA, tomorrow the students!)

I find it hard to identify to a scene and the only one that springs to mind is:

Manchester (late 2000s/early 2010s) - various genres

Elbow, Doves, I Am Kloot, Hurts, Delphic, Wu Lyf, Marconi Union, Nine Black Alps

I saw Starsailor also mentioned in the Manchester scene (guess since Wigan is in Greater Manchester).
