Just some copy/paste I found interesting

1 THE Beatles have never had their music on a Wes Anderson soundtrack.

2 THE Beatles might have produced a few alright songs, but they also foisted some right howlers on us, like that walrus rubbish.

The Velvet Underground’s entire back catalogue is, unarguably, a totally perfect body of work. (OK, they’ve been non-existent for decades but they were REALLY GOOD.)

3 THE Velvet Underground only became a band after Andy Warhol discovered them.

The Beatles became a band without input from any of pioneering Pop Artists. Tedious.

4 THE Beatles rushed to deliver their first album, bashing out ten of the fourteen tracks in just one day.

The Velvet Underground spent nearly a whole year on their debut, so it’s obvious which was the superior recording.

5 WHEN The Velvet Underground were apart they always call and say “I miss you” to each other. The Beatles didn’t even like each other enough to stay together.

6 The Velvet Underground call LaMonte Young “Uncle Young.” John Lennon never even met LaMonte Young!

7 THE Beatles tried other names like Johnny and the Moondogs, Long John and The Beetles and The Silver Beatles before becoming The Beatles. The Velvet Underground have always had one direction about being called The Velvet Underground.

8 THE Velvet Underground’s Lou Reed went out with Laurie Anderson, who is much classier than Cynthia Lennon.

9 THE Beatles were famous for their hair. Yet, no Beatle had better hair than Lou, right.

10 THE Velvet Underground are the ambassadors for Heroin. The selfish old Beatles were only ever ambassadors for themselves.

I recognize the sarcasm but I'll play along

2. True if you pretend that Squeeze never existed, but sadly it did.

3. Andy Warhol was a talentless douchebag who had almost no input on any of the art that was attributed to him.

4. "Bashing out" I Saw Her Standing There, Please Please Me, Love Me Do, and Twist and Shout in one day, how lame

5. That sounds kinda limp wristed

7. The Velvet Underground's name came from a slang term for vagina used by metrosexual clubbers in the 70's.

8. Laurie Anderson didn't write this

Not to mention that The Velvet Underground were both more innovative and influential.

it's right that the VU are known to be the band with the perfect discography (not my opinion though). they are so much superior to the Beatles.

Why The Beatles were better than The Velvet Underground: They made better music.
