What a lame response. It's so easy to hate an album fifteen years later without recognizing the context in which it came to be.

Anyway, this album is a great example of something that happens all too often, a band working its ass off to break through and get noticed then therafter forgetting how hard it is to make music that people will connect with. Murder of One, Perfect Blue Buildings, Rain King... a lot of great songs. Ghost Train and Time and Time were the only ones that never really grabbed me. It's too bad that after this the band fell into formula and just generally laziness and lack of inspiration. As happens to so many bands, unfortunately.
