Well it looks like you have one or two scores amongst your soundtracks, but there are some good picks.
John Williams is probably the closest thing the 20th century saw to a music genius in my opinion.
My personal favourite Hollywood composer though would be Alan Silvestri. Not only is the Forrest Gump soundtrack awesome, but his original score is some of the most beautiful and poignant music I've heard in a film. If it were available as a selection on here, it'd be in my top 10.
With regard to soundtracks I would also include those to Cidade de Deus (City of God) and Above The Rim as personal picks. _________________ no fat chicks

All of John Williams' soundtracks are awesome (Jaws, Star Wars, ET, Saving Private Ryan, etc.) He's definitely the best at what he does.
2001: A Space Odyssey has a kick-ass soundtrack because none of it is original--all famous classical pieces. _________________ "I'm so ugly but that's OK cause so are you"

Williams does little for me. I'm a Badalamenti fan, myself.

I love John Williams' movie themes, particularly Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Superman. But he's done far more than I even knew about (since I just looked him up to see what else I knew from him), writing scores for films from Fiddler On The Roof and The Poseidon Adventure to Jurassic Park and a couple of Harry Potter movies - he's even signed on now to do the first Tintin movie.

He certainly has a knack for churning out the iconic themes and everything, I'll give you that much. Perhaps my general disinterest in his ouvre comes from all the pale imitations that have spawned from his influence, I don't know. I'll stick with Angelo Badalamenti, though. He's diverse, surprising, and not manipulative. Some of my favourite Badalamenti scores:
The City of Lost Children
Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors
A Very Long Engagement
Secretary
The Straight Story
and, of course, Twin Peaks and its accompanying film, Fire Walk With Me.
