Do you like the Kings of Leon? I was thinking about getting one of their albums because they're ranked pretty well on this site, but I looked around and there's a lot of hate for them (as well as adoration). I didn't want to get it just yet because I want to get some more input.

So what do you guys think of them?

At one point they were above average, if a bit boring.

Everything since Aha Shake Heartbreak has been mostly shit, on par with other more-vanilla-than-vanilla rock like Nickelback, Daughtry, and the like.

From everything I've gathered (never met them in person myself) they are terrible people in real life too.

I know this sounds almost cliche at this stage but I like their first two albums and nothing else.'Sex On Fire' is possibly the most disgusting thing I've ever heard and 'Use Somebody' is close to being as disgusting.I remember hearing someone on MTV saying that as a band they have regressed and done things backwards starting out with long hair and beards making interesting music and gradually moved towards boyband hair cuts making pop music,it stuck with me and I think it sums up the band perfectly.I would definitely recommend 'Youth and Young Manhood' and 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' they're quality albums especially ASH,thinking about it I'd probably vote for the they're good option rather than OK now,of to listen to ASH now Smile

Yeah. Basically.

Do you purchase all your music via vinyl/cd? Nothing online?

They're not awful, but I wouldn't say that they are average either. They're stuck somewhere between awful and average, so probably just bad. I just think that they're very plain, very safe alternative rock. However, I completely agree that "Sex on Fire" is awful. They're singer is also pretty bad as well.

yeah the singer is bad and while they at least try to make interesting music it doesn't really happen

Boring. I don't hate them, they just make me want to listen to something else.
