"Evil" and "C'mere" are good. The rest is just average, and Interpol never was a fascinating band anyway. Still, they can get away with a few solid tracks on each on their LPs. Worth a listen, 2 if you're really into postpunk revival stuff, more if you've never listened to postpunk.

Obstacle 1 has grown on my lately, but I still think this is an over-rated band. I never bothered with their 2010 release _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

It's alright... Nothing standout, but nothing offensive. It's like rice pudding.

Enjoy this one quite a bit and dont think their later albums are as weak as some make them out to be.

It was more song-orientated than Turn on The Bright Lights, and it was less distinctive and consistent. "Evil", though, was a very good pop song, "Public Pervert", "C'mere" and "A Time to Be so Small" sounded like particarly strong b-sides from TOBL, and "Narc's" sublime harmonized guitar riffs made it one of the best singles of the decade. The rest of the album wasn't particulary meomorable, but it was still a worthwhile listen in it's entirity. "Antics" did unfortunately foreshadow a sharp artistic decline in their following works, which is why perhaps this album has been overbashed by many fans and tastemakers.
