Should be very interesting to hear the opinions on this one Think .

Personally I really like the Strokes, and I think this one is similar to everything since "Is This It?" as far as quality. About half the songs are very good to great, while the other half are either totally average or kind of suck. They'll never come close to their debut, but at least they have a handful of quality songs on every album they release.

Favorites: Machu Picchu, Two Kinds Of Happiness, Taken For A Fool, Gratisfaction.

When I previously hoped that The Strokes would change their sound a little bit, I would have never imagined that they would morph into The Cars. Confused

It's not like they made a 180 transition with this.. But yeah, it's slightly different, and varied. + They kept it short (unlike their third album) which suits their music. I'm a fan of the band and I like this album as well. I don't think it's nearly as fantastic as Is This It, or even close to Room on Fire, but it's a good one.

Favs are: Under Cover of Darkness, Life is Simple in the Moonlight

this album gets better and better with each listen, of course not as good as Is This it ? but really a flawless record. their 3nd best (after Room on Fire) and probably a top 10 of 2010s material.
Brilliant briliant band Applause
