So as we get into the dog days of summer when the weather gets hotter, I'm curious, what albums make up the perfect summer soundtrack for you?

Here are a few of mine:

Almost anything by The Ramones
Twin Cinema- The New Pornographers
The Blue album- Weezer
Boys and Girls in America- The Hold Steady
Exile on Main Street- The Rolling Stones
Doolittle and Surfer Rosa- The Pixies
The Wild, the Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle- Bruce Springsteen and the E St Band
Aquemini- Outkast

What are some of yours?

Well its winter here .. but the albums I've had on Repeat are

Stone Roses - Stone Roses
The XX - XX
Beach House - Teen Dream
Radiohead - In Rainbows
The Police - Synchronicity
The Velvet Underground - VU & Nico
The Smiths - The Queen is Dead
Simon and Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water

When summer comes around for some reason I crave MGMT

Well, watch out with this one... Years ago I was at the Polish seaside, a popular summer destination. I went with my buddy to the beach around noon and it was so crowded that we barely managed to find enough space for two towels. We had a little tape player, I played "VU and Nico" and we sunbathed. When it got to "European Son", I raised my head to look around - there was a vast empty circle around us Smile

That seems like a weird choice for a sunbathing soundtrack.
