I always felt that nonplussed meant not caring. In a sense it is but it is basically unsure of how to react to the situation.

Maybe some future tournament should focus on some new music, so this "people only vote for the old music"-stuff wouldn't be discussed

First sounds interesting. Maybe best of 2012 only, though that would be more appropriate when the year is finished. "Talent" doesn't seem like a suitable word for music, "best new artist of the decade" sounds better to me.

Best of 2010s seems a bit premature. Best of 2000s would be a good idea.

Or an end of year best of 2012 is also a good idea, everyone nominates an album or two something like that.

There was an end of year thing done for last year called The first annual BEAMA's (BEA Music Awards). The second one should be running for 2012 Cool
