That and the show should of focused on the whole tone of humanity defeating overwhelming odds through intelligence and perseverance instead of what they gave us. I mean yeah I should've researched the manga beforehand and found out it was shonen day one-- but I felt so immersed and excited for the first six episodes.

Yeah. It had such a nice set-up, but completely fell into this pandering, mess of a story. It would have been nice to see something that sensationalized that rode in on such a big wave of hype pan-out, but it doesn't normally happen that way unfortunately. Who am I to talk though? I'm enjoying Kill La Kill a lot lately, despite knowing it to be a pandering, hype-beast of a show. I guess different things speak in different ways to different people, but Shingeki No Kyojin is still shit.

And if Kyojin isn't shit, it's at least not what I want out of anime.
