Last night I discovered that "The Glow Pt. 2" by the Microphones is perfect accompaniment for The Hobbit (or any book involving a journey through Middle Earth I'd imagine). I shall be delving into round 2 in a bit.

I focus better while listening to music. Anything really. Of course every so often I break out dancing and singing, but then I get back to work.

I'm gonna try this, sounds amazing. Also, any epic fantasy read while listening to the Zelda soundtrack becomes awesomer.

I used to be able to read to anything but now it pretty much has to be acid jazz or mellow psych or something atmospheric and not too demanding of attention.

Brian Eno's new album is good to "envelop" your reading.

Yeah, Eno's good. Any ambience in fact. Anything relaxing but predominantly instrumental.

Yeah that would seem to make sense, the music in Zelda is majestic.

I can understand reading, but I don't get it when people listen to music (with vocals) when trying to write. The lyrics influence your writing. I'm sure Harkan can attest to grading papers or tests written by students listening to music (with vocals).

Glimmer by Jacaczek and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley were a lovely combination.
