I'm probably in a minority, but I can't stand Suede.

How did you comment before me!? This topic was 9 seconds old and had zero views when I clicked on it!
... and wow! I am not alone on the being a Manic Street Preachers fan and never been big on Suede. It's the number 1 band they are connected to (the Manic Street Preachers, not Suede. I have sometimes seen Suede compared with Oasis)

Oh I love Suede.
Great twangy almost psychedelic sound, refreshing entry to the brit-pop scene.
It's all a bit British and melodramatic, but I think that's why I love it. Sure they're not breaking any boundries, but it's good rock music.

Both are British, popped up around the same time, played indie rock (to varying degrees), and had an art school vibe and a penchant for being controversial. I guess that's why they were lumped together. Buuuuuuut...
...the Manics had the tunes to back up all the other shit (Generation Terrorists is an exciting, fun album whilst The Holy Bible is awesome), whereas Suede were just poseurs pedalling cod-Morrissey-during-a-glam-rock-wet-dream wankery.

Made me laugh.
Sometimes you just have to let go and go along with the whole camp-glamorous thing

I've just had a brief read of Suede's Wikipedia page. That shit needs a moderator. Some fanboy shit.
