At first seeing the '70 team, I thought it couldn't possibly be beaten. But then the '05 selection looked very strong, I have to calculate actually. Let's go.
1970 :
Masterpieces : Fun House, After the Gold Rush
Excellent : Moondance
Good: "Instant Karma"
OK : "After Midnight" (but I can't get past the fact that JJ Cale's version is so much cooler, so I'm probably underrating what is a very good song).
Don't like : ELP
2005 :
Excellent : Illinois, Tender Buttons
Very good : Both singles.
Good: Get Behind Me Satan, Alligator
It doesn't seem to get any easier this way... I'll either abstain, or vote for '05 on account of the '70s team having the only record of the lot I really don't like.
EDIT : or I'll vote '70 because it has both my favourite Neil Young and my favourite Stooges albums... God, I think it'll be abstain after all.
JoD is good at this. Especially against such a strong year.
Can't really decide yet, leaning towards 2005 though.
EDIT : and credit to MNS too of course
Thanks, but JoD should get at least 95% of the credit for this round! _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal
