- Post subject: How many new albums you usually hear per month?
|
The impression i have about this site is that every user has a big collection of albums, and that's what make this site really good. How many new albums you usually hear per month?
And another question too: it is better to listen the max albuns you can or is it better to absorb the max of feeling from an album or two and then skip to another? My case is the second one, so i was thinking in maybe change my way.

I usually get a bunch of new albums (25 - 30) and start listening to them. After 3 or 4 listens each I decide what I think of each, and sort them on iTunes. When I feel the albums aren't "new" anymore but are "already listened" I go and get 30 more and start again. I also re-listen to whatever I feel like in-between the new albums.
How much time passes between new albums depends on what I'm doing: on vacations I can listen to music a lot more than during classes.
TL;DR: iTunes says I get about 150 new songs each week on average.

10-20
I usually have bursts of new albums where I can listen to 5 in a day, but then I'll listen to nothing or already listened albums for like a week or two after that.

HOLY FUCK ! considering that i cant listen to an album during reading and some others activities, its physically impossible for me to listen more than 2 albuns a day. I could listen to 2 new albuns a day but i wouldnt let my fav albums apart. Many albuns i really like today is those who i didnt enjoy the 1st heard,And that happens very often being Progressive Rock the subject.

The thing is, usually the best albums are the ones which take the most listens to love, at least for me. Many times I've listened to an album twice and not again for months, and then I listen to it again and I love it the third time through.
I listen to most of my music either on the car, or while studying - that takes about 60% of my time awake, so it's a lot of listening time

Good points. Recently, I have been enjoying an album that made no impression on me the first time... I'm not going to say what it is though just yet.

If you mean new as in 2012 albums; not many a week.
New to my ears: about 10-15 a week.

Probably 15-20 new albums a month at the most.
I feel like I'm not giving anything enough time if I start listen to much more.
