Read a recent article on the BBC about happiness which I found interesting, talking about the things which correlate most with being happy and how there's a fair bit people can do to make themselves happier.

You tend to be happier if you think you're good looking, rather than if you actually, objectively speaking, are.
Having children lowers your happiness levels, but your happiness increases when they grow up and leave home.

I know people have talked about this sort of thing before but I thought it would be cool to have a thread about it. Post about how happy or sad you are with life and what you think will make you happier, because that's what life's all about right, being happy?

I would have put 10, but I suppose it is possible for me to be happier, so 8 it is. I am happy because I am in love and I'm optimistic about my future, but I could be happier because my lovely girlfriend is in California and I'm in North Carolina. I do wish that wasn't the case and I do get really sad about it, but I'm just glad to be able to talk to her at all, and I know our future together is going to be incredible. So, yeah. Meow meow.

Also, I love you all, don't get unhappy or I'll throw rocks at you. Razz (love rocks of happiness that hug you)

I'd say I'm at a solid seven right now. Bit bored now that most of my friends are out of town, but I feel pretty good about life in general and they'll be back pretty soon. Plus, it's my birthday in nine days, I've been taking lots of walks lately and that's helped me relax, and there's not bad shit going on right now. I feel pretty comfy overall.
